Seminar Status Reporting - Users with no status

Hi all,

We have a course that contains five Seminar activities, which we are using only for tracking bookings - there is no activity or course completion set. However I think this issue would apply to any course with a Seminar activity, regardless if this is set or not.

We have been asked to provide a list of enroled users who have not booked onto/attended any sessions - is there an easy way to do this? Users who have not booked onto a session do not have a booking status set and won't appear in a Seminar status report.

We have currently been using a report of enroled users and a seperate report of seminar booking statuses, and using a VLOOKUP to rule out any duplicates, leaving us with users who haven't booked onto any Seminars.

Surely there must be an easier way to find this information! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

All seminar activities create an item grade. So if you take attendance, you will know who was enrolled and have an attendance status.

Do you take attendance?

Taking attendance doesn't help you?

Hi Servando,

I did think of using the grades for this, but it only seems to give users a grade once they've been marked as attended. We're looking for a list of enroled users who have either attended a session, or have a session booked in the future, so we can encourage users who haven't booked/attended to book some of the remaining sessions.

The issue is that using a Seminar status report only gives us users who have booked at some point, meaning we have to work out who hasn't. It feels like it's impossible to filter for users who have not booked onto a session.
