SSO for tenant members

We are starting to set up tenants in v17. One of our clients would like to access via SSO (Okta). We anticipate there will be others who would like to do the same.

Is it possible to have unique SSO connections for each tenant?

As far as I understand it is not currently possible to have authentication linked to a tenant .

I think the way to achieve this would be to use external API to create/update users with the tenant membership. There is some docs with examples in the developer docs . Reference docs show the tenant reference is supported in core_user_create_user - this will require developer coding .

Thank you Craig & Angus,

A new client wants a more personalized experience for their team members beyond what we could provide through audiences. What was an immediate need has now cooled a bit and we are helping them understand their options.

We are trying to anticipate the need as clients come into the system and want their own branded experience.

We were really wondering whether we could have multiple SSO connections, and we realized we could. We realize now, that even if they are accessing via their own URL, it doesn't matter since users are managed at the site level.
