Assign Certification Upon Acknowledgement Response

Our current version is Totara V18.3

Our organization is currently looking for a way to assign a certification depending on a user's response. There's a specific benefit where our employees have to elect if it applies to them, and if it does, there's a certification that should follow.

Our ideal scenario is:

  1. User is assigned an initial acknowledgement that asks, "Do you require XXX?" They should answer yes or no to this question. This course will complete successfully regardless of if they answer yes or no.

  2. If a user answers no, then no further action is required.

  3. If a user answer yes, then they should be assigned a certification to complete.

Is there a way to setup step 3 automatically? I was originally thinking that it would be setup as a quiz, but it doesn't look as if the parameters of a dynamic audience can search for answers in a quiz.

Hi Johnny

There currently aren't any audience rules for activity completion unfortunately . A workaround could be to use a course completion rule with the course not completing when the quiz activity answer is No and completing when the answer is Yes based on passing grade with the N answer receiving a grade of 0.

If this course is a dummy course with no content then no previous learning is required.

Would that work in your case?
