Learner completed activity - Triggered twice

Hello,

I have a course with a seminar activity, a quiz and a resource file set up as topics. The learner completed activity notification is set up at the seminar level and the participant who is marked as 'Fully/Partially Attended' completes the seminar activity and receives a 'Learner Completed Activity' notification letting them know that they have completed the seminar and now they need to take up the Quiz activity. However, this notification is triggered twice(email time stamp shows the exact same time or sometimes within a second) every time an attendee completes the seminar activity. I am not sure why this is happening or is there any other setting that needs to be checked.

The notification is set to be sent at the trigger event.

Can anyone help identify the issue.

Hi Raja

The Learner completed activity notification could also be enabled at the course level or site level.

Are you able to check under Course admin and Site admin if a notification notification exists and disable or modify if required.

Thank you for your response.

I checked the 'Learner completed activity notification' at both site level, course level and seminar level.

Both at site level and course level, we do not have a notification created for this category of notifications.

The notification is available and enabled only at seminar level.

I set up another notification for the 'Quiz' activity when the learner completes the quiz and this works fine and only one 'Quiz' completed notification is triggered.

I think it is only for the seminar activity that the notification is triggered twice as I checked this on another course for another seminar activity.

Please can you advise, if there is any other setting that may trigger this.

This sounds like a bug as the activity completion notification is working Ok for other activities.

Is your partner able to create a support ticket with steps for recreation including details on the version and settings used. for activity completion etc. I can't see any recent fixes around this.
