Hi Team,

Not sure what I'm experiencing is correct or not.

Scenario:

I have a course with multiple activity types such as quiz, SCORM, manual grade item etc. The gradebook is set to weighted mean of grades as we want to factor in the SCORM completion for the course total.

This is an annual course where we reset the course on a particular date and learner needs to do it again.

Setup:

Course contains 3 SCORMS, 1 Quiz, 1 manual grade item. Criteria for course completion is learner needs to complete all the activities.

Learner completed 1 SCORM, quiz and received a manual grade.

Admin does bulk course reset.

Observation:

I found that all the activities except the quiz grade is reset. Is this expected? If so, what will be impact if the learners reattempt the course.

Hi Aparna

The behaviour of grade recovery depend on the type of activity , recover grade setting and if the grade has been manually adjusted.

The quiz and assignment stores the grade separately from the the gradebook so also behave differently with the recover grades if possible setting . If you don't want the grades to be recovered then unticj the recover grades if possible option.
