Is there a way to disable the option for Email notification and iCalendar appointment? The system doesn't actually send an iCalendar appointment (at least mine doesn't 🙂)

There isn't an option to not include the iCal option in this menu using the user interface - it would require coding.
The iCalendar information should be embedded in the email and when the email is opened the calendar client is opened. There may be some compatibility issues with some software such as Outlook - what email client are you using?
