Users removed from Certification Audience - Is automatic unenrollment from course possible?

Hello All

Several certifications were set-up to enrol users from the 'All Staff' audience, and then obviously enrol them into the associated courses. Since then we have been informed that several groups of staff should not be enrolled in some of the certificates.

As the audience is used for many things, these users could not be removed from it therefore, the only viable solution was to create a dynamic clone of the audience and assign the certifications from that, thus allowing us to set rules that remove the unwanted users.

(We accept that the Due By Dates will change for currently assigned users)

All good so far, the unwanted users are are not assigned and currently assigned users will be automatically unassigned from the certifications.

However, is there a way of automatically unenrolling those users who were already assigned from the actual courses?

Thanks

Dave

Were the users enrolled onto the course via an "Audience Sync" enrolment plugin, or have they enrolled themselves via the certification? If it was the audience sync, I believe you should just be able to create a new one (attached to the new smaller audience) and then delete the old one (which should remove all assignments for the original audience).

If they enrolled themselves via the certification, it might be trickier because it doesn't appear possible to delete the Program enrolment method once it's part of the course (only disable it, which won't unenroll users fully).
