Performance Activity Notifications to Non-Participants

Hi all,

We are testing a group of performance activities to track new employee engagement during their first two years at our organization. A few of these activities are sent to the subject's appraiser and are only viewable by the appraiser.

For these activities, we have a notification set up to be sent to the subject upon participant instance creation. (For context, the subject is asked to set up a phone call with their appraiser, and then their appraiser completes the activity based on the call.)

When we tested these activities, the subject did not receive the notifications we set up. Does using the notification type "Participant instance created" prevent non-participants from receiving these notifications, even thought it's an option to select them as notification recipients? If this is the case, is there an alternative notification type that could be sent to the subject upon instance creation?

Thanks!

Isabelle

Group Totara

Hi Isabelle,

This is an interesting setup, and I'm not sure I've seen this behaviour reported before.

I tested this and got the same result (no email), but I'm not sure if it's expected in this scenario.

I think we'd need to investigate and get input from our product team.

Are you able to report this to your Totara Partner or raise a helpdesk ticket with the direct services team?

If you're not sure how to do that or who to contact, let us know, and we'll see if we can get someone in touch with you.

Thanks
