Hi,

Does a report exist for checker whether rules in audiences have been broken? I received an notification informing me a rule had been broken, but I would like to check if I have another audience to take care of.

Many thanks !

Patrick from Switzerland, Geneva

Hi Patrick,

There is not currently a report source for this, but, the key thing is that the site will notify you of broken rules - So there is not much need to check unless you are getting those notifications.

I would recommend performing annual reviews of audiences though as a good rule of thumb, using a description in each audience as well allows you and others to fully understand what each audience does and the context of rules.

I hope this helps.

Hi David,

Many thanks for your answer.

If I understood you correctly, if an audience has a broken rule, I will get a notification. Do I will also get notifications if I don't fix the audience?

Exemple:

Tomorrow, I get a notification informing me a rule has been broken in an audience. I don't do anything. Will I get daily notification remembering me that these audience has a broken rule?

Thank you for your support and best regards.

Patrick

Hi Patrick,

Yes, but it depends on your site, settings etc.

If your site is similarly setup like ones we work with, you will get daily notifications about the broken rules until you fix it, as it's important to fix any rules which may be impacting any audiences which in turn enrol users into learning content etc.

Hi David

Can you define who gets the notification of a broken audience rule? Is it whoever set up the audience? Or is it tied a specific role?

Thanks

Matt

Good morning Matthew,

As far as I'm aware only site administrators receive the notification, it's not something you can configure within cohorts/audiences as the only alert you can enable in there is for when members are added/removed etc.

The notification for broken rules is a 'system level' event, i.e. somethings not working - admin gets notified.

Hope this helps,

All the best,
