Hi Leslie,

The calendar in 2.6 displays an entry per day with the same info repeated for multi-day events. (See attached screenshot) The monthly view also displays an entry per day for the multi-day events.

If you're on 2.5, when you upgrade to 2.6 then you'll see this feature. If you're on 2.6 and not seeing it this way, please contact your Totara partner helpdesk to investigate.
