Administrator completing courses

Hi,

For learners with a system role of 'Course administrator' or higher, there seems to be an issue with Totara not registering course or pathway completion. Is this normal behaviour for Totara? At the moment we are manually marking completion, but this is not ideal from a compliance perspective.

Thanks

Juanita

Group Totara

Hi Juanita

There aren't any known problems with non completion for some system roles - as long as theses people are enrolled in the course or program in  the Learner role as well as having this system role the completion should be registered.

If this isn't the case can you create a support request with details of the circumstances this is occurring in.

Hi Juanita,

For our system Anyone with a system role must complete training with "switch role to" "learner" within the course in order to complete activities such as quiz.

I concur with Peter, site admin cannot complete a quiz activity. A grade is given and such but the activity won't complete as site admin. I know of a specific case with this, where there was a minimum grade for completion set on the quiz gradebook item.
