Language Support

Is there a list of languages Totara supports? - obviously there is all the ones Moodle supports but it's the spefic Totara parts I'm wondering about

Hi Ian

I can't find a list of language packs that have been adapted for Totara, it sounds a good idea to do this.

There has been some work done in a number of languages and will try and find out the status of these.

Are you interested in a particular language?

Does anyone have a full list of languages that Totara currently supports? It's been a while since this query was first posted and it'd be good to know which languages have been completed and what is still in the pipeline.

just about the same schedule for Finnish as for Swedish, it's underway.

According to the Release notes Totara currently supports Finnish, French, German, Spanish and English.

There is Hebrew almost ready and Swedish ready by August. There is a Chinese translation completed but are trying to work through some issues with this before it can be released.

These languages have different dialects - I think the Spanish version is Castilian and Chinese is Mandarin and English is UK - can anyone confirm this?

Hi,
Spanish is currently Latin American Spanish. A separate European Spanish pack is underway.

The Arabic pack is available from version 1.0.25 released 4 October 2011 - there have been some updates in later releases.

Arabic is also available in all the 1.1 releases (the most up to date releases)/
