Multiple User Logins

Hi,

I have two people who were testing out whether it was possible to log in on different PCs using one username and password at the same time.

It turns out that this is exacly what happened. One person logged in using username e.g. User_A. Then on another PC the other person logged in as the same user e.g. User_A. Totara allowed them both to log in at the same time under one the username.

Is it possible to turn multiple logins off so that if User_A is logged in then anybody else who tries to login as User_A is locked out or is told this user is already logged in.

Many thanks,

Haroon

Hi Haroon

It is possible to not allow more than one person to login with the same username at the same time.

There is a plugin http://moodle.org/mod/data/view.php?d=13&rid=4060 that will

This can cause some problems if someone forgets to log off in one location and tries to login in another so you have to think about whether the benefits outweigh the possible problems this can cause.

Craig
