Hi All,

I'm looking to implement the following language packs on a Totara 2 site.

Do you know how complete the language packs are for:

Czech, German, Polish and Romanian?

Thanks for your help

Tony

Hi Tony,

The following is based on the status at 1.1 - as you know we are finialising the process for managing translations in 2.2.

German:

translated

Polish:

translated

Czech:

Around 70% translated

Romanian:

Work was started on Romanian by a Kineo client, but has stalled. Perhaps something that can be picked up again?

Thanks

Andy

Just to clarify,

A Moodle language pack for Czech is available from Moodle HQ but there has been little if any translation work done on the Totara-specific areas of the system in Czech.

Currently the following languages are bundled with the Totara code for both 1.1 and 1.2:

Arabic

German

English

English US

Spanish (International)

Spanish (Castilian)

Finnish

French

Hebrew

Hungarian

Italian

Japanese

Dutch

Polish

Portuguese (Brazilian)

Swedish

Thai

Chinese (Simplified)

Hi Lucy

The current state of the Moodle language packs can be seen here:

For Moodle 1.9 - http://download.moodle.org/lang16/

For Moodle 2.2 - http://download.moodle.org/langpack/2.2/

There are no plans right now to produce Totara language packs for new languages - there's still a lot of work to be done to get the 18 existing languages up to a high standard in 2.2 and that is where the focus will be in the short term.

Hi Lucy,

Unless, of course, you have a client that wants to commission new language packs.

regards
