Multi-lang filter and approval message subject lines

Hi All,

I think this may be a bug but wanted to check before I report.

We are using the multilang filter to run a french and english site. We are using the filter in course titles.

For the most part it works OK with the exception of the email the system sends when a course within a learning plan has been approved. In those cases, the body of the email message is fine (appearing in the intedned language) but the subject line includes all the multi-language tags.

Yes, here you go. This is a confirmation email sent form the system. Its funny since the body of the message is proper and the course name only appears in English but the subject line shows the unfiltered course title.

Hey Kirk,

Apparently we are missing a formatting call on the coursename before we use it as the subject for the email. We'll get a patch in to fix it, could you let us know about anywhere else this could be happening?

Cheers
David

Thanks David - we'll keep our eyes peeled ;).

One thing that stands out already, although this could be a Moodle issue as well is that the course categories work as expected except when you look at a category that has sub categories, then you will see the title of that page in both langauges (although minus the tags).

Also, this is more of a Totara thing, the Face To Face Activity session titles do not accept the multi-language tags.

Thanks!

Hi,

I finally went to get a patch in for this one after all the crazyness around Totara 2.4 release, and I can't see anywhere that could be causing the category error. And I'm not sure where exactly the facetoface sessions are messing up, is it just everywhere? Could you send me screen shots of both happening?

Cheers
David
