Hi,

We are in a testing phase for our Totara system and just deleted a user, wanting them to reregister.  They were unable to reregister, as the email address was already in use.

Is there any way to completely remove a user’s account so they have to reregister?

Hi Jason

I don't know about deleting users as we keep ours forever.  But, we often get new staff with the same email address as former staff - which highlights the issue you have.

We handle this by changing the email address in the old account to have one or more uppercase letters in it - which Totara then treats as a different email address and allows the new account to be created.
