After set up the hierarchy levels to match the organization structure, the workload is massive to put 5000 employees into the hierarchy levels. How do you manage this in your organization? Bulk enrolment can only enrol the trainee but not be able to automatically put them under the department/group they belong to.

You can use the Totara Sync tool to enter thousands of users and assign them to their organisations and positions via uploading simple CSV files.

Hi,

This is great.

I understand that in order to run TOTARA Sync you HAVE to use Organisation and Position ID's to associate them with a user.

We are upgrading from 1.9 to 2.5 and have alot of Organisation Entries (1600+) that do not have any ID's set.

How does one bulk update the existing  Organisation entries with unique ID's?

Many thanks in advance for any pointers,

Ben

Hi Ben,

The user sync will use the posidnumber and orgidnumber that exists in the hierarchies.

If you don't currently have hierarchies with ids upload a new org framework hierarchy that does. Once complete then re-sync the users to the new org hierarchy.

Thanks
