I have a client on a Totara 1, who is enquiring about ipad compatibility for their site. They have reported an issue to us whereby their content doesn't display properly, and my impression would be that their version would not be ipad compatible.
Is there an official statement or detailed answer from Totara available on this at all?

Totara 1.1 is quite old now, and it is based on Moodle 1.9 which is 6 years old so I really wouldn't expect modern devices to function at their best with a 1.1 installation.
2.6 will be out in a few weeks and it contains major upgrades to themes making all the main 2.x themes fully responsive. There are also major upgrades to SCORM to resolve many existing issues, including the display of Scorm packages on iOS devices.
So if your client is concerned about display of content on modern mobile devices, the best advice would be to begin planning their upgrade to 2.6 which will have much better support.
