Totara Sync 2.4 - Cron doesn't pick up directory check file

Hello,

I've encountered the problem with Totara Sync 2.4 version, where cron doesn't pick up the file from the FTP directory where I specified the location for the sync file.

When I manually run "run_cron.php" file in the directory under totara/admin/tool/totara_sync/run_cron.php it worked, meaning that regular cron.php doesn't actually process totara sync.

None of the instructions mention that, so I believe it's a bug.

Can someone please confirm?

Thanks!

Never mind, I answered my own question.

System Admin assistance was necessary to configure the cron file.

Yes before 2.5 you had to run the sync cron as a separate job.

The current version of 2.5.11 allows you to either schedule a time to Sync in a manner similar to scheduled Reportbuilder reports which runs via the main cron; or continue running a separate cron job
