In 2.5 and before, where there was a modal dialogue (for example, selecting a manager for a member of staff), when you switched from the Browse tab to the Search tab the text box on the tab would take the focus (i.e. the cursor was already in there, ready to type). This no longer appears to be the case, which is a real pain if you're using it a lot.
Hopefully it's an oversight rather than a deliberate decision because, while I know it's a very minor thing, on a usability front it made everything a bit smoother and quicker
