Hello,

Just had a couple questions regarding the sitedata directory as it pertains to content that is uploaded for courses.  With our app server being on Linux.. and linux being a case sensitive OS, if a user updates a course file but they fail to match the original case of the original file.. would this then create a second file with the same name just different case?

In our old LMS, we moved the content storage portion of the application over to a windows server so that we would not have any issues with case on file names.  Is there a way to do the same with Totara?  Can we have just the content folders in the sitedata directory linked out and hosted on a windows server?

What are the best practices when it comes to this?  Or is this a non-issue in totara because of how content is handled on the backend?   Is it not recommended to host the entire sitedata directory on a remote system from the app server?

Thanks for your thoughts.
