Help shape the future of the Totara Community

The Totara Community is moving, and we want your feedback to ensure we give our global community of partners, subscribers and experts the best possible experience.

We are moving the Totara Community from our Totara Learn platform over to Totara Social. There are three main reasons for doing this:

  • Improved visibility
We want to make more people aware of what Totara Social is really capable of. Totara Social is a powerful tool for social learning and collaboration, and as such it feels like a great fit for the Totara Community as a centre for lively conversation, discussion and sharing of ideas.

  • Better feedback
The more people that use Totara Social within the Community, the better informed we will be in developing the product in the long run. Inviting more people to use our own instance of the platform will help us drive customer-led improvements via your feature requests, giving you the platform you want, not just what we think you want.

  • Closer relationships
Collaborating with partners and subscribers on a new Totara Social-powered Community site will help us understand your needs and wants, and improve the way we interact and engage with you.

We want to make sure we get it right, which is why we’re asking our current Totara Community members to complete this quick survey. It will only take 5-10 minutes of your time, and will provide us with invaluable feedback so we can bring across everything you like about the current Totara Learn-based community and implement all of the Totara Social features you want to see on the new site.

As part of the shift, we will also be closing our Totara Learning User Group on LinkedIn and encouraging members to join us in the Totara Community. This is because we want to create a single place for everyone to discuss Totara without having to collate answers from multiple sources, making the community more efficient and avoiding duplication of information.

If you’re interested in shaping the future of the Totara Community, complete the survey before 20th October 2017. If you know anyone else who is currently a member of the Totara Community, please let them know about the survey so we can gather as much feedback as possible.
