I have a question about manager approval. Our company wants to require manager approval for all our seminar events for anyone new to the company, but not require it for anyone who is a staff manager. Is there a way to create this distinction?

Hi Carla,

There isn't a way to have different approval methods for the same event. I can definitely see where being able to have multiple approval methods would be useful! I'd recommend submitting that idea to the Suggest Features forum.

I'm curious to see if other folks have come across this and if so what workarounds they used.

Hi Carla,

Maybe you could use restrict access to deny new users access to the Seminar activity until they have completed another activity, like a quiz, which is marked by their manager, and has a question like 'Do you want to go to seminar event X?'

Of course the problem here is its not restricted to an individual event but the entire Seminar activity.
