Reporting for just one course (help!)
by Stjepan Werft - Monday, 21 January 2019, 12:49 PM

Dear colleagues,

I have a following situation: our Sales department developed a set of courses, it's mandatory for all sales folks. From next week the Sales managers will need to review and follow up on the course completion.

In order to support them, I have created 2 reports based on the Course Completion source. The challenge is that they only need to follow up one course (let's call this Course XYZ), and with those 2 reports they need to fill in the XYZ every time in the "Course Name" field to filter all the completion data.

My objective is to schedule this report on bi-weekly basis to Sales managers and report should contain ONLY completion data for course XYZ.

Your ideas, instructions and comments are more than welcome. Thanks!

Stjepan

Hi Stjepan

The idea is to Save the search filter using  the XYZ company search . Then when Scheduling the report select the Data setting and choose the saved filter for the scheduled report.

You will need to select Make the filter available to everyone when saving the search filter if you want other users to select the filter when designing reports.

Thank Craig, it worked like a charm.

How to create a scheduled report containing completion data for one course and just one audience?

Hi Craig,

thanks for the help earlier. I managed to provide my colleagues with the report they need.

I would need your additional help. As we have different learners in this course, I would need to create a report for the course with specific target in mind. This target is an audience of Sales people for whom this course is mandatory. In order to follow up on their progress, can I create a filter just for them?
