LMS functionality

Hi,

We are using the lastest version of Totara but are having issues with some functionality which we thought would be included. I am wondering if the functionality is there, but we are just not seeing it, or if Totara can't provide it. Any assistance would be great, thanks.

We require an LMS that provides internal employee access & external client access – not all vendors could provide this.
Important features for the LMS:
Tailored learning paths based on multiple user profiles (e.g. department, job title, email, etc.)
Able to group users site wide
Dashboards
Sign-up process (self-registration and SSO for internal)
The ability to group multiple courses together (similar to navigation track)
SCORM compatible
Host multiple file formats (PDFs, Word, Excel, etc.)
Different course formats?
No wait time for loading of new content
Ease of use to send out comms to learning groups
Reporting requirements for the LMS
Ability to build custom reports within LMS to include all data fields as selectable in any report with definable filters and relative timestamps  e.g. a report to show all new users, their domain , audience group, sign up date, first and latest logon dates that have joined in last 7 days
Formatting of dates etc. to conform to excel date / time standard or be customizable
Scheduled reporting functionality with specific diary parameters  e.g. specify date / time / reoccurrence
Scheduled reports to be accessible to admins to allow maintenance of reports e.g. if Jason sets up a report I can amend it if he is not available
Ability to format reports (fonts colors etc.)
Dynamic audience groups for reporting e.g. consulting partners / US Clients which update as new user groups assigned to them
Ability to save reports to specified network location rather than just email

Ease of use to send out comms to learning groups
Multiple ways to send notifications - Seminar, Program or language string
Also messages, alerts and notifications within the system
Reporting requirements for the LMS
Ability to build custom reports within LMS to include all data fields as selectable in any report with definable filters and relative timestamps  e.g. a report to show all new users, their domain , audience group, sign up date, first and latest logon dates that have joined in last 7 days
Core (SA > Reports > Create new report)
Formatting of dates etc. to conform to excel date / time standard or be customizable
Date/time fields can be configured to display in multiple ways
Scheduled reporting functionality with specific diary parameters  e.g. specify date / time / reoccurrence
All reports can be scheduled with saved searches (pre-set filters) as well
Scheduled reports to be accessible to admins to allow maintenance of reports e.g. if Jason sets up a report I can amend it if he is not available
Depends on which account set up the scheduled report.  If Jason set it up an admin can impersonate Jason and make the changes
Ability to format reports (fonts colors etc.)
Can be done to an extent via configuration, and can be supplemented with CSS
Dynamic audience groups for reporting e.g. consulting partners / US Clients which update as new user groups assigned to them
Reports can be filtered by audiences, organizations, positions and almost any other fields
Ability to save reports to specified network location rather than just email

Group Totara

Hi Noel,

Thanks for reaching out to the Community. I'm expecting a member of the UK-based Kineo team to be in touch shortly to discuss this with you in more detail. As a starting point have you had a look at some of the Academy training courses?

Hope this helps as a starting point, there are more courses available to you and you can have a look at a longer list here

Let us know if we can do any more to help.

Thanks a lot.

Matt
