Restrict visibility of recipients for messaging

Dear Forum members,

I am looking for a way to restrict who I can see as a potential recipient for a message. Right now when I am on the messaging page and go to my contacts I can search for every person on the LMS. I want to restrict who I can potentially find via audiences, groups or organisations. Ideally they can only communicate when they are subscribed to the same course.

Do you have any suggestions?

HI Andreas,

currently there is not a way to limit the people you see in Messages by group - it's an all users or no users (by turning off Authenticated user messaging access).
