I have a question regarding setting for user import when setting up a tenant site:
I read notes from an ex-colleague that this step is important: HR import> Elements > users > Allowed HR import action> delete > suspend internal users
I don't quite understand why this is necessary.
Does anyone have any idea? (I'm relatively new with totara, bear it with me :))

This setting means that the HR Import is not allowed to fully delete a user - once a user is deleted then their user data is also deleted including their course progress.
If the user starts at the organisation again then their data will not be retrievable .
If you suspend the user they are prevented from logging in. If they start again they can be unsuspended and their user data is accessible.
