Most of our courses have activities that auto complete the course but a few have links to external learning sites where the learner has to create a userid, complete the modules and they get a certificate of completion from the website (no option for status/scores to be passed back). 

The assignment activity with auto completion on file submission of the certificate looks to be the best way to track completion with evidence. Does anyone have better ways to track offsite courses? I considered the option to record evidence but that seems to be an option best suited to evidence not linked to required courses.
