I am working within Totara V12, I've added a Page resource and within that Page, I've created a table.

I can't seem anywhere that allows me, without having to edit the HTML code, to cause the table to display table borders and borders with the cells.

I found this video re: Moodle and how it handles it, but Totara V12 doesn't appear to have this functionality.

Thought I would toss in a table right here to help illustrate:

The video shows the text editor as TinyMCE which is no longer supported in Totara.

Totara uses the Atto text editor - it is possible to enable some more settings in the Atto text editor

Site administration >Plugins > Text editors > Atto HTML editor > Atto toolbar settings go to Table and settings and tick the box allow border styling

This should show a few more options when you click on the table button in the editor.
