Displaying custom fields

We have custom fields in the course page settings for owner of course and date the course was last reviewed. This allows us to pull a report to see when courses need to be reviewed. Currently we have an HTML block on the course page where we type this information so learners can see the same info. We have to enter the info twice (once in the custom field, once in the HTML block) and I wonder if it's possible to have the custom field info appear in a block on the course page? I tried creating a report but needed to use a saved search to narrow it down to the one course and I'd rather not create a saved search for each of our 400+ courses!

Any suggestions on how we can display the info to the learner as well as being able to report on it?

Via config the only solution I can think of is:

Instead of using an HTML block, put the date in the course summary (assuming you're not using it for anything else).
Then use the Course/Site Summary block which will pull that in for the user

You still have to manually add it in two places - but at least they're done on the same page.
