Course Catalogue Function on V9

Hi

Our company is currently using v9 but we want a function like Course Catalogue in V12 so that our users can filter and choose to self-enrol into courses.

We tried to build a course report and link it on the Main Menu but the report cannot be restricted to show certain course categories only.

Have anyone built something to look like a course catalogue?

Thanks!

Jennifer

Hi Jennifer

One idea is to create a report and include category as a filter field and then save the search

You can then add the report table block and select the report and the saved search and add the block to a dashboard or frontpage.

Hi Craig,

Thanks for your help!

It works! However, at the bottom of the page it has a 'View All' button and when the user click on it, it takes them to the report which they can then export it as an csv or excel.

Is there a way to hide that button at all? so that it will not take them to other places and will not be able to export it.

Thanks again!

Best regards

Jennifer

Hi Jennifer

The report table block doesn't have a way of hiding the view all button.

It is possible to turn on audience based visibility to only show courses to audience members. Users who are not members of the audience will not see the courses in the Find courses report .
