Can Totara LMS generate a report to show individual responses to each quiz question in a Storyline SCORM?

Can anyone advise any possible ways to get these reports?

Any advice and suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Andrea

Hi Andrea,

That's not possible at present. There are some technical issues here, for example when it comes to the structure of the quiz inside the SCORM & how the grades will be calculated - as far as Totara is concerned these are all unknowns because the SCORM is external to the system.

There is a detailed report of every action in the SCORM for each user but nothing that aggregates across students, I think if its important to track responses it would probably be best to use a Quiz activity.

Can you provide more details of what you want to achieve?

cheers,

George.

Thanks for your reply, George.

We have a program that requires testing the learner's ability/capability before moving to the next step. The Quiz activity was built in Storyline. We need to generate a report regularly to evaluate the answer of individual learners so that we can decide the next learning pathway.

If LMS can't generate the details report (including the answer), can it be done by another application? or can Articulate Storyline do this?

Thanks for your help.

Hi Andrea,

The problem for any LMS is the output of the SCORM can basically be anything depending on the structure of the quiz in the SCORM, some questions could have subquestions, have different grades and grading systems different pass marks etc etc.

There are some reports available under the Reports tab when you select the SCORM with a suitable admin/manager role - have you had a look at them?

What you can do is automatically dictate the learner pathway according to the completion of a SCORM activity, if you break down the number of questions across a series of SCORMS it becomes much easier to manage. How large is the quiz? How do you actually decide the pathway?

regards,

George.
