I am looking for suggests for the best activity to use to allow learners to keep a journal throughout a course, where entries can be continually edited by the learner and assessed by a trainer.

Hi James,
You could try the Wiki Activity.
'The individual wiki is shared between the user and their Trainer(s)/Editing Trainer(s). It can be used as a journal or note taking area, as it's not visible to other Learners'.

That looks pretty good thanks, George. What if I need to assign a scale grade to the journal entries?
Any thoughts?

Hi James,
You can't use a grade as a part of the completion tracking in a Wiki, but you could use something associated with the completion instead - say an assignment which has access restricted until the Wiki is complete?
