Forgotten Password Reset and New User Emails

Hello,

I've noticed within one of my Totara instances that emails are not being sent to users when they require a password to be reset.  This could be because they have forgotten a password or are a new user and need a temporary password changed.

Is there a spot within Totara that I should check to ensure the system is set up correctly to send these emails?

Thanks,

Ian

Group Totara

Hi Ian

I checked the messages report and also the site logs report and couldn't see anything showing a forgot password message being sent.

Some mail servers reject emails coming from domains that don't match the SPF record - check that the no-reply email that Totara uses is one that is valid for you domain. You may need to create a SPF record for the domain so the emails aren't rejected.

Thanks Craig!

I've reviewed the configs on this instance versus another one that is working properly and am now engaging with my Engineering team.

Have a great day...Ian
