Hello,

Is there a place I can go to find information on stability testing for a single Totara instance?  I'm trying to figure out how many users can access an instance at the same time without performance degradation.  I'm sure there is some testing information out there.  Hoping you could point me in the correct direction.

Also if I wanted to clone a Totara instance and use it as the foundation for a new instance is that advisable.  I found an article from 2017 stating that this is not ideal, since that's a few years old I wanted to check to see if that recommendation has chnaged.

Hi Ian

There isn't a simple answer for how your system will perform under load as this depends on a number of interrelated items such as database version, web server used, caching used, bandwidth available, memory available etc.

Totara can be scaled and tuned to perform better - one of our more technical partner will be able to help in this area 

There is some documentation on the general approach to use for performance tuning for caching as you can see this is not straight forward.

As far as I am aware the recommendation is the same about cloning a site from database backup.
