Hi,

We have a new course made up of several pieces of content and the course owner would like learners to give an evaluation of confidence pre and post taking each piece of content.

She wants it to be short and easy to do. She also wants to be able to report on it.

Has anyone done something like this on a course or have any ideas about how to do it?

I'm thinking using the feedback activity might be the best option.

thanks

Larry

Hi Larry

I think a feedback activity would be a good way of getting evaluation on various pre and post activity content. There are a good variety of question types and analysis available.

You can restrict access to the second feedback so it is only displayed when an activity has been completed.

Hi Larry,

We wanted to do something similar in our Academy courses, and decided to use a choice activity. This worked for us because we only wanted to ask one question (how confident was the user feeling) at the start and towards the end of the course. Choice is useful because the administrator can easily see who gave which answer, and can see totals of the answers given. If you wanted to ask more than one question though, I agree a feedback activity would be more suitable.

We have a dedicated Academy course on the Feedback and choice activities which you might be interested in if you'd like to learn more about these features. You can also see our confidence check (using the choice activity) in that course.

Thanks

Rachel

Thanks Rachel.

I did also consider choice but was put off by being only able to ask one question.

With so many pieces of content I'm concerned I'm not sure having a choice for each one is the way to go.

i'll check out that course and see what comes of that.
