Hi there, I am having issues mirroring the HR framework on the LMS. We are using a post based system and the LMS needs a named manager. This is an issue in some our our teams as there may be 2 -3 managers aligned to the post. This means a lot of our managers are missing out on their staff data to manage learning. Has anyone had this problem in the past and is the any way to get around it?

I am not sure if I understand the problem correctly - the job assignment file allows more than one job assignment to be created for a user . each job assignment can have a different manager.
Is the problem that the file in the HR system isn't in the right format for Totara ?

Hi Craig, this is a problem we have with the HR file we think.
The Core HR system is post -based so it can handle having more than one manager in a position. When we are presenting it to our LMS it is only one of the managers is being aligned to the reports below that post. This means that if there are 3 managers sharing a post then only one is able to see the staff working there's learning records. This is causing us some pain and I was hoping that others in the community had experienced this (less painfully hopefully) and what they did to over come this.

Are the managers going in through the Teams menu under the Develop menu in Totara TXP 13 and 14
Each manager should be able to access the same user's Learning record through this if multiple job assignments are being used.

Can you verify that the user with 3 managers really gets 3 Job assignments after you upload the HR import file?
@Craig Eves, if 3 managers should be assigned to 1 person, does this mean that 3 positional frameworks should exist in LMS? Or a person can have multiple job assignments all stemming from 1 positional framework?

To clarify - a person with job assignments for each of their managers does not have to have any positions assigned to the job assignment .
Positions are related to a persons job assignment not the person's manager.
