Audience is unavailable (grayed out) when trying to add to certification

Hi Team,

The below are instructions on  how to add an audience to a certificate. Can you help understand why, in step # 5 my choice of audience might be grayed-out & unavailable as an option (pic of this attached)? When you click on gray 'DG Coordinators' from the picture attached it will not move over to the 'Items to add' column.

Thank you!

Adding learners by audience

If your users are already assigned to audiences, you can choose to assign entire audiences to your programs and certifications.

  1. Navigate to the program/certification and select the Assignments tab.
  2. Select Audiences from the Add a new dropdown menu and click Add.
  3. Select the Add audiences to program button.
  4. Browse through the audiences or Search for a specific audience.
  5. Select the name of each audience to be added.
  6. The selected audience(s) appear under the Items to add area.
  7. Select Ok to complete the audience selection or Cancel to exit.
  8. Enter an Assignment due date.
  9. Repeat steps 2-8 to add another position(s).
  10. Select Save changes.

Group Totara

Hi there,

Could you double check that this Audience hasn't already been added to this Certification?  I've only been able to replicate this greying out of an Audience by already having them associated with the Certification.

Kind regards,
Meredith

Hi Meredith!

Thank you for your response. This prompted me to double check whether that group was included in the 'Too many results' message that showed on the assignments page. When searching specifically I found out that the group was already added!

Thanks again for your assist!
