Missing virtual link in seminar notification

Hi all,

We ran a seminar last week, which half the people ended up not attending because they didn't receive the link in the email. We use a scheduled notification to remind attendees the day before about the seminar and provide the virtual room link. One of the participants forwarded me the email they received and there was a blank space where the virtual link should've been. We normally use Electa as our virtual room system, but sometimes trainers use Zoom, which seems to be the software not sending.

This is the placeholder we use: [#sessions][session:virtuallocation][/sessions]

Anyone got any advice as to what might be going wrong?

Hi Catherine

Have you created a custom field for URL for the session room - if this is the case then the format requires the cf in front of the Custom field name

[#sessions][session:room:cf_fieldshortname][/sessions]

If you have set up the Zoom integration then [#sessions][session:room:link][/sessions] can be used or users can access through clicking on the seminar.

Dear Craig,

if it is not a custom field -but the individual virtual room link - can you share the correct placeholder?

At the moment the learner gets notified without a teams link. Maybe we use the false placeholder in the seminar notifications.

Wir are using the "Individual virtual room link" (so standard) when we are setting up a seminar room.

Hi Christian

The legacy session placeholders are listed including the room place holder - does this work for you . When the seminar virtual room is open then clicking on the seminar should result in a link Join as attendee being available.

If you are using seminar centralised notifications then the placeholders [event:all_sessions[] is available to be accessed through selecting it using the editor
