Question regarding notifications

Question regarding notifications
by Salim Sabic - Thursday, 22 September 2022, 8:14 AM

Hello,
we are working on setting up one course for our client.
In this case we need the Admins to be notified if a student fails the final test for the third time.
Currently we have only see two options available, those are "Subject" and "Manager" but not "Site admin".
Is it possible to set up a notification to be sent to the Administrator too?

Thank you very much!

Salim Sabic

Hi Salim

I am not sure what screen you are on - what version of Totara do you have.

This looks like the new centralised notifications interface but can't see a notification for quiz attempts exceeded in this.

regards

Hi Craig,

thank you for your reply.

Yes the image is from the centralized notifications interface, it merely serves as an example that there are only two options for Manager and Subject.

Let me rephrase my question; is it possible to configure a notification for Tests/Quizzes where the Admins would be notified if a student fails the final test for the third or x time?

And if yes, how? :)

Best,
Salim

Hi Salim

I don't think this is possible - this could be done through event monitoring rules and subscribing to this rule but the failing for third time is not one of the events.
