Due dates in performance activities

Hi

I am looking to move from using appraisals in Totara Learn to the new performance activities in Totara Perform. We use these to deliver progress reviews to our apprentices.

I love the dynamic approach to the new system; it all works well for us until it comes to due dates. The date a review needs to take place can vary from student to student and can change, so in an ideal world, we would want to the due date for the next instance to be editable (by the manager) on a case-by-case basis. Do you have any plans in that area?

We will use it without die dates, but it means we miss out on a bulk of the notification triggers, and we would really love to be able to use those.

Thanks

Becki Hunter

Can anyone tell me if there are any plans in this area for upcoming versions? Thanks

Hi Rebecca,

We don't have any plans to address the due dates of performance activities or make them editable by managers at this time.

I'm interested to know though, is it that you'd like managers to push out the due date (for example, 'remind me in 2 weeks') or is it that the manager sets due dates at their convenience from the beginning?

Thanks!

Ashley

Thanks for the reply Ashley.

We use perform to manage progress reviews for apprentices. At the moment we cannot use the due dates and associate reminder notifications because the only option is to set it in stone for X days/weeks. We need to be able to set a due date for the date we have arranged with an apprentice and manager for the next in-person review, this is generally within 12 weeks but not consistently at the 12-week mark. Because the due date cannot be edited to match the date of the next booked review we cannot use the system to remind them to sign the review off or remind them it is coming up.

This is becoming a growing problem for us because the alternative is to use manual reminders and prompts to sign off etc…. and that is not scalable.

Any thoughts on managing this would be welcomed!

Thanks
