Course enrollees not registering to a seminar - how to track?
by Martha Hufham - Tuesday, 14 March 2023, 2:10 PM

We have several courses setup that then have Seminar registrations for various virtual or live events. We have users that enroll in the course and never register for a seminar. We are working through some verbiage to address the process to help users understand each step.

Is there a way to capture which users have enrolled in a course but haven't registered for a specific seminar yet so we can reach out to them via messaging to see if they need help? Right now it is a manual process and painful.  I'd love to hear from other users if there is a good way to monitor the interaction easily?

Thank you!

Will your users be registering for multiple seminars within one course or not?

We found that this double step (enrol to the course+session) was complicating things for end-users.

We ended up setting up Seminar direct enrolment+Guest enrolment within each course. This way, a user can take a look at the course content (there's some information about the course/prerequisites etc). Then, if they register for a seminar, they are enrolled in the course.

You could even have just Seminar direct enrolment without guest access - then, if a user looks at the course summary in course catalogue, they see the list of events available for enrolment.
