Hi! We have a subset of courses (10) that are set up as audience sync to a few specific audiences. I received a help desk ticket from a learner who is a member of the audiences synced to these courses but the following was happening:

  1. She could see the courses via search but there was a message that she was prohibited from participating unless these courses were part of her learning plan (there are no learning plans associated with these courses)
  2. These courses did not appear in her dashboard currently learning block
  3. I had to enable self enrollment on these courses for her to access them

Hi Barbara

It sounds like this user may have added the course to a learning plan at some stage 

if this is the case then the user is not enrolled in the course until the learning plan enrolment method is added for the course 

There is a more detailed description of the actions and settings around learning plan enrolments 

i am not sure of the sequence of events but check that the enrolment plan enrolment method is enabled and the user launches the course from their learning plan to access the course.
