Administrator enrollment message

Welcome to this forum!

Per the screenshot, when launching a blended type course (Topics) a user who might have special privileges will see a banner message such as the one in the attachment letting them know they are viewing as an administrator letting them enroll if necessary.

However, per the screenshot as well when launching a seminar or an e-learning course the same user who has the same privileges does not receive the administrator enrollment message.

We have taken the necessary steps provided by Totara to input the language that was necessary to receive the messages. Please advise.

Hi Nicholas

The courses that are not receiving the message are accessing the course through a seminar activity and a SCORM activity.

Are you able to check the course settings to see if the course format is a single activity course or a custom format - maybe something in the course format is preventing the message showing.

Hi Craig,

Correct, the courses per the attached are single activity courses, for a seminar and an e-Learning single format.

I have went through those courses from the attached and verified any special settings such as visible to no users, also any other format that might have been missed and nothing sticks out as something that would cause the message not to appear.

I even verified several other courses that are single activity and receive the same results of there is not a message visible to administrators for enrollment. It seems only blended type courses have the feature.

This does look like the standard behaviour I will check if this was an oversight or by design for single activity courses.

Would using the topic format and limiting to one activity work for you?

Hi Craig,

Thanks for the quick response. Unfortunately quite a bit of the courses in our environment rely heavily on single activity format such as e_Learning.

Any resolution to this would be greatly appreciated.
