Copy or Duplication of a Course

Hello,

I have quite a few courses that are very similar. I wish to copy/ duplicate the course and then edit it to save time entering each course individually. I can't see that this is possible. Please can someone advise or send me a link with instructions on this. I have searched in help and on this forum, but can't find anything.

Thank you,

Kind Regards

Abbie

Hi Abbie, not sure what version you are on, but I am still on version 12. In 12, I use backup and restore to make copies of courses. Both are located under the Course Administration menu. First click backup and go through all of the steps, then click Restore and choose your backup to restore as a new course and go through those steps. Be sure to change the name and shortname in the restore process.

Hi Abbie

Using Course Backup and Restore into new course is good for single courses

If you need to create multiple courses from the template course then creating a file and using the upload courses with a restore file or restore from course set should help.

If you only want certain sections or elements, you can also do an Import under Admin block.
