Is anyone using google analytics with their Totara Learn?

If you are we would love to see some examples of how it looks, what data you are getting out of it and how you are using it.

Hi Raechel and Vicky,

Great question! We use Google Analytics to monitor some basic usage here on the Community site. It tells us things like how long people are spending on the site, most visited pages, number of users over time, where our users are coming from, etc. I know there's a lot more you can do with it if you have the right skills!

Is there something in particular you're hoping to use it for?

I'd also be interested to know if other Community users are using Google Analytics on their Totara sites.

We looked at it a little bit in preparation for our upgrade - mostly things like search terms, are catalog filters being used, where are our users coming from to get into our site, landing pages, explorations. We didn't have a lot of time to spend on it and it was a bit hit and miss whether we got the information we needed.

I think there are some useful insights if we can take some time to make things work for us.

I did run into a few blockers - for example, how to remove admin actions from our site which could inflate numbers artificially.

We use it on our Totara instance - looking at unique visitors, views, technology used to access the platform.

Would love to get more detailed information about Search terms, as the report I've built is very hit-and-miss.
