Mass 'HR Import?' Check

Hi folks,

I'm trying to update a large number of user accounts, using HR Import and a CSV file to achieve this. Unfortunately, many of the user accounts were created without the HR Import? check being selected and so I believe these can't be updated on mass via that system.
Am I correct in this understanding? If so, is there some way to enable the HR Import? check in bulk? All of our accounts can have it enabled if it's an either on-or-off situation, or if the need for this check can be turned off at a site level.

Hopefully I'm missing something obvious, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Scott. You can toggle the HR import on bulk through the bulk user actions although users need to have the id field populated in their account. You could update this field on bulk first and then toggle the HR upload. Hope that make sense.

That is perfect, thank you!

Good news: there is a tool to solve your problem. If you go to the Bulk User Actions [totaraURL]/admin/user/user_bulk.php you can filter for all accounts where HR Import equals "No", add them all to the selection, and then apply the "Toggle HR Import" action to apply to them.

Unfortunately, there isn't an equivalent for Job Assignments yet, but there is a Suggestion filed to have it added: https://totara.canny.io/feature-requests/p/add-option-to-toggle-hr-import-for-job-assignment-records
