I am a bit confused...

Auto-emails sent out seems to be plain-text on Totara, I could update email body via language customization strings.

On user profile - user do have a field with drop down choosing Email format as "Pretty HTML format"

So, are there a way the email body to be customized with HTML, or if I am missing something on Totara?

Hi, Mei

It depends on what you're referring to regarding customisation with HTML. For example, forum posts allow rich-text editing capabilities and will issue emails with formatting e.g. heading styles, hyperlinks etc., if "Pretty HTML format" is enabled. Other things like program messaging doesn't currently offer rich-text editing capability and emails are issued as plain-text only.
