Advanced Search of course

Hi,

It seems that  I  can  only search course name、 course descriptions and  the classification of the course.

How to achieve the Advanced Search of course, such as  the resource or activity  in courses?

? ?

Hi Jinchao,

The closest that can be achieved to a full search at the moment is by enabling the Moodle Global Search block.

http://docs.moodle.org/20/en/Global_Search

http://docs.moodle.org/20/en/Global_Search_set-up

Unfortunately the Moodle 1.9/Totara version of this code is still experimental, does not cover all module/activity types within a course, is not being actively improved by Moodle HQ, and will not work at all when we move to the new Moodle2 version, so we really would not recommend it :-(

However there is a new version in progress, planned to be part of Moodle 2.3, so if and when that is released by Moodle it will be incorporated into subsequent Totara releases.

Hi Jinchao

Try using the old find course by typing in your site name /course/find.php

eg https://totara.community/course/find.php and click on the show advanced

This report is available to the report builder  called Find course so you can modify this.
