Totara social in 2.4

Hi,

What is happening with the Totara social system thast was so promoted? We were expecting it with much gladness. I though it will be released and inside new Totara 2.4?

Hello Tom,

Totara Social is still in the early phases. It was not planned to be delivered in 2.4. In fact it will be a stand-alone platform, that if desired, integrates well into Totara LMS (or other systems).

Will Totara Social be free for partners for integrating it into Totara or requries some sort of subscription?

The release date is probably not known to you, is it.

Hi Tom,

Partners will be able to sell it as per Totara LMS, I think there will be a subscription of some kind for the end user. I'm afraid I don't have any more details of costs or release dates though, still early days.

Totara Social will be a stand-alone product available by subscription in the same way Totara LMS is. The two products will integrate at several levels. There will be bundled pricing as well as stand-alone pricing.

Partners don't buy subscriptions - they sell them to their customers and make more money on the ancillary services.
